Baseball begins busy schedule
With plenty of action on the local sports scene, some minor changes had to be made to the broadcast schedule to accommodate all the games over the next three days. Here is the lineup of games and broadcast outlets for the weekend:

Initiative to donate hats to injured military personnel
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Athletics has teamed up with Lightning’s Locker Room to promote "Operation Hat Trick," an initiative that will donate hats to injured military personnel. In addition to the national fund raising effort, Lightning’s Locker Room will donate a MTSU hat to the local V.A. hospital for each three Blue Raider “OHT” hats sold.

Induction set for Saturday in Franklin
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Roy Mewbourne, former baseball coach at Birmingham Southern and Vanderbilt, and a key force behind the building of the new Reese Smith, Jr. baseball stadium at Middle Tennessee, will be inducted into the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Saturday night.

Next week's first women's show will be Tuesday night, a change from regular Monday schedule
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee basketball coaches shows, featuring women’s coach Rick Insell and men’s coach Kermit Davis, will return next week live from Coach’s Grill in Murfreesboro. All shows, except next week's women's opener which is being moved to Tuesday, January 10, will be held Monday nights, as announced by Nelligan Sports Marketing, the Blue Raiders’ media partner.
