MT earns No. 1 seed for upcoming Sun Belt tournament
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee men’s basketball team claimed the Sun Belt’s regular-season title on Saturday evening with a 72-59 victory over Florida Atlantic in front of a season-high crowd of 7,605 fans at Murphy Center. The Blue Raiders collected their program-record 24th victory and clinched the No. 1 seed for the upcoming conference tournament, riding LaRon Dendy’s game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds, his sixth double-double of the season.

Pair of seniors to be honored prior to tipoff
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee men's basketball team will host the Florida Atlantic Owls in the Blue Raiders' home finale on Saturday. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. CT and will be preceded by a ceremony honoring seniors Jimmy Oden and LaRon Dendy. The contest will air on ESPN3 with Chip Walters and Kyle Turnham on the call.

NEW ORLEANS - Senior forward LaRon Dendy garnered his second Sun Belt Player of the Week honor after averaging 24.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in Middle Tennessee’s pair of victories last week. It marks the third weekly honor for a Blue Raider this season.

MT earns 23rd win to tie school record
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - LaRon Dendy scored a game-high 23 points as the Middle Tennessee men’s basketball team clinched the Sun Belt East Division title with a 68-60 win over the UALR Trojans in Saturday afternoon’s national telecast at Murphy Center. The Blue Raiders, now 23-4 overall, tied the school-record for wins and, at 12-1 in league action, clinched a first-round bye and one of the top two seeds for the upcoming conference tournament.
